Chilean traditional empanada

The combination of these ingredients will take you through an experience of traditional flavors from Chile. Meat dominates (beef cut in little pieces) along with the onion. Cumin, salt and merkén - a traditional condiment in Mapuche cuisine in Chile. The base ingredient of Merkén is the aji "cacho de cabra" a dried, smoked, red pepper, that is ground with toasted coriander seed and salt.  The combination of the above ingredients plus the dough, black olive, hard-boiled egg and raisins creates a spectacular flavor. ¡Enjoy!
